166 people have become victims of COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours

The situation in Bulgaria is still grim, despite the higher interest in getting vaccinated. The new measures are going to take a handful of weeks to have any sort of an effect, and cases are going to continue to rise, due to people not following the measures, and attending anti-vaccine protests. Currently, there are more than 100 000 active cases in the country, while there have been 600 000 total confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic. In total, there have been around 2 900 000 vaccines administered. The situation here is grim and highly underestimated by the populace.

Out of 39 333 PCR tests conducted, 4 622 have been positive, which adds up to around 12% of the tested.

Currently hospitalized are a total of 8 372 people.

710 patients have been admitted to intensive care, while 166 have succumbed to the illness.

3 703 people have recovered.

20 776 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
